Purim is coming up soon, and the Purim carnival is coming up even sooner! The Carnival will be on Sunday, March 8. I hope that all of our families can join us for this FUN-raiser for BHA’s educational programs!

Schedule for the Purim Carnival:

10:30-11:00 -- Please join us in the upstairs sanctuary to watch the children’s Purim skit, and to listen to the children singing Purim songs!

11:00-1:00 -- Purim Carnival in the social hall!

This year, instead of selling tickets for food and games, we are selling all-inclusive admission. For a suggested donation of $36, your entire family gets admission to the carnival with all snacks and games included. Family admission includes two free raffle tickets! 

Pay for your admission in advance to reduce time waiting to get into the Carnival! On the day of the Carnival, we will accept credit cards via Dip Jar for admission. You can buy extra raffle tickets at the Carnival (cash only).

I know that Leilah Ezra reached out to encourage families to sign up to run a booth. If you want to create a booth, but can’t think of what to do, perhaps this post from Bible Belt Balabusta will spark some ideas! You can also sign up to run one of the booths we’ve had in the past (we’ve still got the materials for old favorites like Purim Skee-Ball and the ring toss).

Please also read the email from Leilah about signing up for volunteer shifts, both on Purim and for regular Sundays after Masa. The Preschool has requested that we help them out by moving more of the Preschool materials back into their weekday configuration after Sunday Masa.

Coming up:

Friday Masa, 4:00-6:00; Mini Minyan, 5:30-6:00; candle lighting, blessings, and potluck, 6:00-7:00. Friday night services, 7:00. This week, Mini Minyan and services will both be held in the DOWNSTAIRS sanctuary.

Sunday Masa, 9:30-12:30.

Purim Carnival, Sunday, March 8. Children’s play begins at 10:30 in the upstairs sanctuary. Carnival begins at 11:00 in the social hall.

Community Megillah reading, Monday, March 9. Children’s program, 6:00-7:00. Adult Megillah reading begins at 7:00.
