Saturday Shabbat
Please join us for a traditional conservative Shabbat morning service and Torah reading led by Zachary Bernstein, a student at the Jewish Theological Seminary. We have morning Shabbat service once a month, from 9:30AM-12:00PM. Members and non-members are always welcome.
Our spiritual lives are over-verbalized and under-experienced.
This experience of walking, meditating, singing, and being outdoors is an effort to feel more, not to say more.
This is a very accessible trail walk that can be done by people with a wide range of strength and ability. There is a parallel program for children who are not yet ready for extended periods of silence, led by BHA member and teacher of environmental education Josh Kaplan.
There is no fee for participating in this experience, but we hope that you will choose to contribute to BHA so that we can continue to be a home for vibrant Jewish life in the Hudson Valley.
Where: We depart from various trail heads in the Beacon/Cold Spring area; please register for details.
When: We head off at 10:00 AM; please plan on arriving before then. We are done around 12:30, including lunch.
Who: Spiritual seekers of all types. We draw from the Jewish tradition and other traditions as well, and are open to all who are interested in nature-based spiritual reflection.
What to bring: Layers, water, food. If you have a small prayerbook that you are comfortable with and would like to bring it, feel free, but it's not necessary.
Soul Strolls are usually on the second Saturday of every month; please check our calendar for details and to register.
