Shabbat Hosts
Shabbat celebrations can't happen by themselves! Can you help to make them awesome by signing up to be a BHA Shabbat Host? Shabbat Hosts help to set up the community space for dinner, check the video monitor when the doorbell rings to let guests in, make attendees feel welcome, and play a key role in introducing new attendees to our community. If you are a BHA member, you can volunteer to be a Shabbat Host. Fill out the form below and we will schedule you to co-host with a current shabbat host and get to know the role. Once you've co-hosted, you will be added to our list of Shabbat Hosts, roughly 20-30 members, and you can select when to volunteer at a time that works for you.
When we need hosts to volunteer for Shabbat, you will receive an email with a link to a booking calendar. We've split the shabbat hosting duties into two 2 hour sessions to make hosting more manageable. If you'd like to host for the entire shabbat, please book both sessions. Once you book a Shabbat, you will receive reminder emails the week and day of the date you've volunteered for. If you reserve a date but can not make it, please contact us as soon as possible.
