Dear Friends:

The spiritual work of the Days of Awe - forgiveness, acceptance, reconciliation - can be hard. We're trying to make it a little easier for you.

This year, Beacon Hebrew Alliance has teamed up with the Center for Supportive Bureaucracy, an effort of BHA member and artist Ori Alon, to provide all the forms, permits and licenses you could need to have an efficient, productive and fully authorized holiday experience!

The Hebrew month of Elul begins this coming Shabbat, so Rosh Hashona is only a month away. Now is the time to get right with the other people in our lives so that come the holidays, we can be ready to get into the mud and the blood and the tears of our own souls. We hope these forms and rituals will help:

• Forgiver's Registration: It's like registering to vote, but for your soul! If you'd like, complete the form by Rosh Hashona to ensure that you are fully eligible and authorized to forgive and be forgiven.?

• A Night of Forgiveness: Come together for Selichot Services at 7 PM on Saturday September 5 to use spiritual technologies both ancient and modern to get all the compassion documentation you need.

• Days of Awe: Join us on Rosh HaShona (Sept 13, 14 + 15) and Yom Kippor (Sept 22 + 23), when the forgiveness forms that we complete as individuals become part of the liturgy that we chant as a community.
