From the Hebrew Bible until now, Jewish texts show us a consistent tradition of protest. Join us for this 6-week class on Zoom to explore the daring, creative and inspiring examples of how our tradition shows us what principled, daring and convincing protest looks like. From the Prophets and Job, to the Rabbis of the Talmud, to the Mystics of the Kabbalah and beyond, we will look at and talk about examples of humanity holding God and humanity to ultimate account, always with an eye toward justice, healing, and the flourishing of humanity.
