Archery, Bonfires and BBQ in Rabbi Brent’s Backyard
Thursday, May 19, 2022 • 18 Iyyar 5782
4:00 PM - 6:00 PMRabbi Brent's BackyardThe 33rd Day of the Omer - which this year, falls on Thursday, May 19 - is a minor and wonderful holiday on the Jewish calendar.
It's a holiday that celebrates Jewish resistance against Roman occupation 2,000 years ago, particularly the life of the mystical Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai and his son Rabbi Elazar. It’s marked with bonfires, archery and BBQ, so really, what could be better?
All children are invited to Rabbi Brent’s backyard to celebrate on Thursday, May 19 from 4:00-6:00 PM. We’ll be joined by Lewis Berns, the archery teacher at Randolph School and enjoy an afternoon of archery, storytelling, and kosher BBQ (with vegetarian options).

Registration is required for safety reasons. Masa students attend for free.
Please be in touch with Rabbi Brent with any questions.
