4:00 PM - 6:00 PMThe Beacon Historical Society, 61 Leonard Street, Beacon, NY 12508

In May of 2021, the Beacon Hebrew Alliance celebrated 100 years of serving the community in both religious practices and community programs. In collaboration with the Beacon Historical Society, we set out to discover the history of the formation of the synagogue and the story of Jewish immigrants to our city. The month-long exhibition at the Historical Society in April will feature materials from both the BHS and BHA’s archives, oral histories, photos and stories from members, as well as genealogical research and translations from the Yiddish press.

The Jewish Beacon History Walk is an interactive walking tour app you can use to discover the rich history of Jewish enterprise on Beacon's Main Street.

Click here for the Jewish Beacon History Walk app.

Come to the opening reception on Thursday, April 7 from 4-6pm and celebrate the amazing story of BHA and the incredible individuals and families who have kept the Jewish community going strong in Beacon. No reservations are needed. Masks are required. .

The exhibit will be on display from April 2-30 at Beacon Historical Society, admission is free.  For more information go to their website www.beaconhistorical.org
