We are continuing to find ways of getting through this time of social distancing. I hope that you and your family are also finding things you can enjoy!

Jonathan’s class is continuing to work on Hebrew blessings, and would like to begin reading some books together. Parents: please let me or Jonathan know if your child has a copy of The Adventures of Rabbi Harvey. Please also let us know whether your student is comfortable reading ebooks.

Debbie’s class is continuing to work on Hebrew learning. This week, they will be making aleph-bet letters out of things they find around the house. They can find a chart of the aleph-bet on Padlet and they can share their creations there as well! (Note: they do not have to make the whole aleph-bet, just a few letters, such as the letters in their name, or of a word they know.)

Wendy’s and Carole’s class have been enjoying story times, and they have gotten a chance to learn about counting the Omer as well. We generated a great list of traits to focus on during the Omer last Sunday, and you or your child are welcome to add to it! They’ve also been reviewing their vocabulary in Hebrew Through Movement, and learning the aleph-bet by playing games, including ones on this website.

Our in-person learning will continue to be held in the Masa Zoom room

Asynchronous learning:

We have been gathering some resources for children to continue to learn, and to connect with each other. We are using Padlet as a way for teachers to share resources with children.  Contact me if you need help loggin on!

Anything the students post to Padlet is only visible to other Masa students and teachers.

There are a lot of good interactive online games for Jewish learning on the Ji Tap website.

Please be in touch with me if you have any questions or concerns, and please let me know if there is something in particular that your student would like to be learning or doing!

Wishing you all good health and shalom bayit!
