Summary |
This Saturday night, we will begin Passover - for many of us, it will be our second Seder on Zoom, with its attendant blessings and curses. I want to share some resources here to help you prepare for Pesach, however you are celebrating it!
On Line Seder Opportunities
-
White House Seder with Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff. Good News - we’re all invited to the (on-line) White House Seder. Douglas Emhoff, husband of VP Kamala Harris, has invited all of us to his seder on Thursday afternoon.
Haggadahs and Supplements
-
BHA’s Google Slides Hagaddah - feel free to use this as is, or make your own copy to edit as you wish!
-
IFA's 2021 Seder Supplement - From our friends at Integrity First for America.
-
Jewish Live’s Virtual Seder offer’s short videos on every part of the seder which can be used for in-person or virtual seders.
Other Resources
-
The Search for Hametz which is a great activity for everyone, particularly kids!
Of course, we have a number of events starting soon after the Seders to be aware of:
-
For Holocaust Remembrance Day (April 8), we’re partnering with Integrity First for America to learn about how the fight against actual Nazis is part of our past, and part of our present as well. Details and registration are here.
-
Closer to home, BHA members are invited to learn more about the alarming rise of anti-semitism in the Hudson Valley with Jody Miller, Executive Director of the Dutchess County Human Relations Commission on April 19. Details and registration are here.
-
Starting on April 3, I’ll be teaching a class about the Guide for the Perplexed, arguably the most important work of Jewish philosophy ever written. Details and registration here.
With blessings for a joyous and liberating Pesach,
Rabbi Brent
