Adult Learning Classes
This Year's Classes for Adults
Now on Sundays, Beginning October 22
“Intro to Judaism” is not the same thing as “Judaism for Dummies.” This thing we call Judaism is a wonderful and complicated culture bringing together things we think of as religion, ancestry, nationality, culture, language, cuisine and more. This year long class divided into trimesters will be proceeding from the assumption that neither this culture nor those of us who have come together this year to study it are simple or simple-minded.
Non-Member pricing is $90.00 per trimester, FREE for BHA Members.
CLOSED1st trimester: Introduction to Jewish Spirituality
Sundays, October 22-December 17, 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM
2nd trimester: Introduction to the Jewish Bookshelf
Sundays, January 7-February 11, 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM

3rd trimester: Introduction to Jewish History

Now on Thursdays, October 26-Thursday, December 14
12:30 PM - 2:00 PM
This fall, we’ll be looking at On Repentance and Repair: Making Amends in an Unapologetic World, by Rabbi Danya Ruttenberg. This powerful book has been called a “must read for anyone navigating the work of justice and healing,” by Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, and has profound implications for how we navigate our personal, communal and national lives.
Non-Member pricing is $90.00, FREE for BHA Members.
