This Year's Classes for Adults
Thursday, October 26-Thursday, May 23
12:30 PM - 2:00 PM
“Intro to Judaism” is not the same thing as “Judaism for Dummies.” This thing we call Judaism is a wonderful and complicated culture bringing together things we think of as religion, ancestry, nationality, culture, language, cuisine and more. This year long class will be proceeding from the assumption that neither this culture nor those of us who have come together this year to study it are simple or simple-minded.
Non-Member pricing is $224.00, 50% off for BHA Members.
Thursday, October 5 Introduction,
7:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Sunday, October 15-Sunday, December 17,
10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
This fall, we’ll be looking at On Repentance and Repair: Making Amends in an Unapologetic World, by Rabbi Danya Ruttenberg. This powerful book has been called a “must read for anyone navigating the work of justice and healing,” by Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, and has profound implications for how we navigate our personal, communal and national lives.
Non-Member pricing is $90.00, 50% off for BHA Members.
Sunday, January 28-Sunday, March 17,
10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
On Sunday mornings this winter, we’ll be looking at Dirshuni, an incredible collection of midrashim written by contemporary Israeli women. Using the classical forms developed by the ancient rabbis, the contributors express their religious and moral thought and experience through innovative interpretations of scripture.
Non-Member pricing is $90.00, 50% off for BHA Members.
