Position-type: 1099 Subcontractor
Hours: 2-5 hrs/week through the end of June, 2020
Schedule: This position will have a flexible schedule, with a base-line expectation of 2 hours of
in-house work per week during business hours. There will be some on-call work (within reason),
and the work schedule will be flexible based on project needs. Pay rate: $20/hour
Objectives:
● Provide consistent support for building maintenance.
● Provide consistent support for seasonal grounds maintenance.
● Streamline communication around building maintenance and special projects.
● Regular monitoring of building and grounds, and assessment of on-going needs
● Gather institutional knowledge about the building and grounds
Responsibilities:
● Monitor to-do list, and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
● Building maintenance tasks may include:
- General maintenance (ie. changing light bulbs through out building);
- Light repair work (ie. repairing kitchen faucet);
- Small improvement projects (ie. installing shelving);
- Maintaining and organizing the storage closet;
- Light furniture moving (setting up chairs for an event).
● Seasonal grounds maintenance may include:
- Lawn mowing and weed whacking;
- Light gardening;
- Snow removal if under 2"
- Occasional salt spreading over sidewalks;
- Maintaining and organizing the storage shed.
● May have to provide your own tools/equipment for certain projects.
● Provide a list of needed supplies to Administrator for purchase.
● Refer jobs outside of the position description and skill set to the Facilities Committee to contract out
● Oversee and interact with on-site contractors for larger jobs
● Communicate seamlessly with Administrator and Facilities Committee regarding all projects
