With constant noise, interruptions, and distractions, how do we return to silence? How do we become fully present and available to each other and to the Divine (the “Wow!” of the Amidah)?
Inner stillness allows us to be present and available, to reconnect with our moral center, to allow our deepest truths to naturally arise, and to discover new ways to engage with our spiritual practice.
For the next 7 weeks, Zen Buddhist Priest Rev. Tenku Ruff will lead us in the core components of cultivating and sustaining a regular meditation practice, culminating in a one-day silent retreat. Join and support your fellow seekers as we deepen our spiritual practice together. (Regular attendance is strongly encouraged.)
Rev. Tenku Ruff is a Soto Zen priest who trained in Zen monasteries in Japan and North America and received Dharma transmission from Tessai Yamamoto, Roshi, in Nagano, Japan. Tenku is the president of the Soto Zen Buddhist Association and holds a Master of Divinity degree from Maitripa College in Portland, Oregon. She is a Board Certified Chaplain and has strong interest in ethics, interfaith dialogue, and ways people can support each other and grow through challenges in life.
