Tu Bishvat Seder with Rabbi Jay Michaelson at Dogwood

5:30 PM - 7:00 PMDogwood Bar, 47 E Main St, Beacon,Tu Bishvat is an ancient celebration of the new year for trees, which the Jewish mystics associated with the cycles of nature and lives.
The holiday’s ecological-spiritual message has never been more vital or significant than it is today, as we search for ways to bring together our spiritual practice with our urgent activism to avert climate catastrophe.
Join us for a very special Tu Bishvat Seder and conversation with Rabbi Jay Michaelson at Dogwood.
Rabbi Dr Jay Michaelson is a national voice of progressive Judaism in the United States and longtime meditation teacher in Jewish, Buddhist, and secular contexts. The author of eight books on spirituality, Dr. Michaelson is a contributing editor to The Daily Beast and an editor for the Ten Percent Happier meditation startup. He has been leading Tu Bishvat Seders since 2003, and has written extensively on Judaism and environmentalism.
- Seats are limited to 30 and we anticipate selling out. Please be sure to register as soon as possible.
- Registration includes participation in the seder and one copy per party of Jay’s latest book, Enlightenment by Trial and Error.
- Food and drink will be available for purchase from Dogwood’s regular menu.
