
Masa Minyan: A Student-Inspired Shabbat Experience

10:00 AM - 1:00 PMBHA, 331 Verplanck Ave., BeaconPlease join us for our first annual Masa Minyan: A Student-Inspired Shabbat Experience! The program includes a a family-friendly and musical Shabbat service partially led by Masa students. It will also feature a Passover skit performed by our 4-6th graders! Afterwards, guests will participate in one of four pre-selected electives, and then we'll gather together for a potluck lunch.
Please choose an elective for each participant.
- Shabbat Meditation Walk with Rabbi Justin: Take a soulful and contemplative walk with Justin as we sing, take in moments of awe inspired by nature, and some of the history of Jewish Beacon around BHA.
- Shabbat Movement with Anna: Participate in this dance workshop where you will discover how to use your whole body while davening and singing. See how creative movement can help connect you with the spirit of Shabbat.
- Shabbat Torah Study with Ashley: Time to learn more about this week's parsha, Pekudei, and discuss its relevance to our lives in the 21st century.
- Shabbat Sing-Down with Luke: Bring your voice and spirit and share in making beautiful Shabbat music.
Registration is mandatory to attend. Registration closes Thursday, March 27. Please register each attendee, including accompanying adults, below.

Special Guest Speaker: Stefanie Singer, is Laurie M. Tisch Education Director for ADL's East Division and the New York and New Jersey regional office. In her role she oversees K-12 anti-bias and antisemitism education programs for students and educators, and partners with over 300 schools to create a framework for addressing antisemitism, bias and bullying in their school communities. -
