Community Purim Megillah Reading in person and on Zoom
Wednesday, March 16, 2022 • 13 Adar II 5782
5:30 PM - 9:00 PMhttps://bit.ly/CantorsZOOM BHA, 331 Verplanck Ave., Beacon NY
There ain’t no party like a Purim Party because a Purim Party don’t stop!
Until about 10:00, maybe 10:30 - then things really do start to wind down. It’s late, it's a school night and we just don’t bounce back from late nights the way we used to!
But, until then, we’ll be rocking out with a re-telling of Purim story for the whole family.
We invite everyone under the age of 5 and everyone over the age of five who is vaccinated to come and celebrate with us indoors. Mask use will be welcomed, but not required.
Roughly speaking, the schedule will be as follows:
5:30 - 6:30 - Children's megilah reading - geared for younger friends, Rabbi Brent will read an English version of the Purim story, sanitized of sex, anti-Semitism and violence
6:30 - 7:00 - Ma'ariv - the evening prayer service
7:00 - 10:00 - Full Megilah reading, complete with sex, anti-Semitism and violence included.
Join us for some delicious hamentaschen and the story we need for the upside-down world we're living in today.
We will not be serving or organizing dinner, but feel free to bring vegetarian food (fish is ok) for you and your family to eat.
