Employment Opportunity: Preschool Assistant Teacher

Position Title: Preschool Assistant Teacher

Organization: Beacon Hebrew Alliance

About BHA Preschool:

BHA Preschool is a half-day program for children ages two to four. Our garden-based, child-centered curriculum nourishes children’s wonder and healthy development. Jewish traditions, woven throughout our work and play, cultivate a spirit of curiosity and gratitude. Read about our program here: beaconhebrewalliance.org.

This Fall, BHA Preschool will be reopening on-site, 100% outdoors in our school garden and yard, with one cohort of 12 students plus three teachers, a lead and two assistants. School will run Sept. 9-Nov. 24, Tuesday-Friday mornings, with the intention of developing winter and spring programming to follow. In addition to keeping our cohort smaller and working/playing 100% outdoors, we will be following NYS child-care guidelines for Covid-19 prevention and response. If closure is necessary, we will provide a hands-on remote curriculum.

BHA Preschool is part of Beacon Hebrew Alliance, a small, vibrant, progressive synagogue located in the heart of the Hudson Valley, which currently serves about 150 families. At BHA, we believe that Jews from all backgrounds, their partners, and their families, can come together in a supportive, warm and open-minded community to create a meaningful, joyful Jewish life.
