Guidelines for holding events in the Beacon Hebrew Alliance

Although donations are encouraged, for members in good standing, there is no official charge for the use of the Shul for life cycle events.  This includes the use of the Sanctuary for the religious aspect of the event as well as the downstairs area for related gatherings and celebrations.  It is up to the individuals involved to clean the Shul after the event is over.

Alternatively, if requested beforehand, the Synagogue can make arrangements for clean up.  However, there will be a charge for that, which is the actual cleaning fee plus a 20% markup.

Celebrants are therefore encouraged to either clean up after themselves or contact a third party to perform that service.

If congregants have not notified the Synagogue beforehand, and the Synagogue is left in a state of disorder for more than three days after the event, the Synagogue will make arrangements for clean up.  In that case, however, the charge will be the actual cleaning fee plus a 30% markup.

Non-members who wish to use the facilities for life cycle events may do so provided the guidelines mentioned above are adhered to.  In addition, there will be a fee of $300, payable upon making the reservation in order to hold the date.
