In 1921, a group of Jewish families incorporated "Beacon Hebrew Alliance" as a religious corporation, for the purpose of holding traditional Jewish worship services and to strengthen their bond of fellowship. Services were conducted regularly in various temporary quarters, including the old Mechanics Savings Bank building and in the Odd Fellows Hall over Schuman's Army and Navy Store. |

Our Membership consists of approximately 100 families who live in various parts of the Mid-Hudson Valley. While there are other Conservative Synagogues in the area, Beacon Hebrew Alliance offers a more intimate setting in our beautiful 80+ year old building with its original stained glass windows. Our members tend to feel that BHA is the home of our extended family. |
